Valley Vascular Imaging has been accredited since inception in 2001 by the IAC (lntersocietal Accreditation Commission). The vascular laboratory is the oldest accredited noninvasive vascular imaging center with the most experienced technologist performing the studies and a Board Certified Vascular Surgeon interpreting the results in the Wyoming Valley.
Vascular imaging studies performed include carotid artery exams and screening, abdominal aortic aneurysm exams and screening, mesenteric and renal artery duplex, preoperative hemodialysis access mapping, upper and lower extremity arterial Doppler studies, lower extremity venous studies for blood clots and varicose veins as well as all postoperative follow up testing after vascular surgery.
Carolyn Nebraski, our Registered Vascular Technologist with over 25 years experience, is the Technical Director who performs all of the exams. Dr. Marien, also a Registered Vascular Technologist, interprets all of the studies performed within 24 hours. The results are reported to the referring physician, family physician and all other consultants as necessary.
We pride ourselves in offering our patients the most advanced medical care in a warm comfortable patient oriented setting. The vascular laboratory is located on-site for your convenience. Studies can usually be scheduled the same day as the physician appointment.
